Diagnostic Radiologist

Premier Physician Services is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Radiologist to work with our partner client in Williston, NC. Long-term radiology locums coverage, beginning as soon as credentialed. The locums will be onsite, 2 weeks per month (5 consecutive days each week), to complete minor procedures and image reads such as: diagnostic mammograms, breast biopsy, barium enema, small bowel follow through, upper GI, epidural steroid injection, abscess drainage, and Medicare overreads. Looking for a provider to start ASAP in June. The ideal candidate will be certified in mammography procedures.

Job Description

• The locums will be onsite to complete minor procedures and reads such as: diagnostic mammograms, breast biopsy, barium enema, small bowel follow through, upper GI, epidural steroid injection, abscess drainage, and Medicare overreads.

Schedule/Availability Requirements

• 2 weeks per month 7a-7p, M-F (site will also consider 8-hour days if preferred.)
• No call

Duties

• Complete minor procedures and reads such as: diagnostic mammograms, breast biopsy, barium enema, small bowel follow through, upper GI, epidural steroid injection, abscess drainage, and Medicare overreads.

Required Procedures

• Breast localization for OR with magseed/magtrace - willing to learn: breast cyst aspirations, stereotactic breast biopsies
• Arthrograms/Joint aspirations/Joint Injections
• CT Cystograms
• PICC Line placement
• Lumbar punctures
• Hysterosalpingograms
• Bone Marrow Biopsy
• Ultrasound biopsy of lymph nodes, muscle, kidney, thyroid, abscess drainage
• ESI, SI injections, Facet injections - not all radiologists do all the injections, but as many of them as possible would be nice

EMR

Requirements

• Board Certified in Radiology - required
• ND License required or IMLC (with LOQ in hand)
• ACLS, BLS, DEA, MQSA - required
• Clean malpractice/background - preferred
