    Physical Therapist

    As a Physical Therapist and movement expert, you'll have the opportunity to improve patient quality of life through hands-on care, patient education, and prescribed movement. Our outpatient rehabilitation teams are collaborative and patient-focused. You'll work together with Physical Therapy Assistants to treat patients of all ages and abilities.

    Job Description

    • Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.
    • Requires detailed knowledge of physical therapy in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done, including interpretation of data.
    • Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served.
    • Oversees and ensures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well-being of the patient.
    • Promotes patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.
    • Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.
    • Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.
    • Acts as a patient advocate.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Less than one year of experience in physical therapy. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred.
    • NM License of Physical Therapy required.
    • BLS required at time of hire.
