Cardiology Locum Physician

Join our team as a Cardiology Locum Physician, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients. This position requires flexibility and commitment, as you will be covering a busy schedule in a well-equipped facility.

Job Description

• Coverage schedule: 1-2 weeks per month. Must be available a full 7 days in a row.
• Weekly schedule: Monday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM, including night and weekend call.
• Weekday hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Weekend call: Starts Friday at 4:30 PM and ends Monday at 7:00 AM.
• Evening call: Starts at 4:30 PM and ends the following morning at 7:30 AM.
• The provider would be in-house Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-4:30 PM, take call Monday-Friday for the night shift, and then take weekend call through Monday morning.
• Average inpatient admissions per physician per day: Approximately 10, depending on inpatient consults.
• Total number of beds: 256.
• Number of ICU beds: 20.
• Cardiologists in the group: 3 non-invasive cardiologists.
• Other cardiologists will be present during locum coverage.
• Locum physician will supervise residents and medical students.
• Patient age demographic: 18 years and older.
• Documentation system/EMR: Currently Flex and Merge Cardio.
• Required procedures: Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Electrocardiograms (EKGs), and stress echo.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Cardiology - Required
• Active NY license - Required
• BLS, ACLS - Required
