Schedule:

• Ideally be 7 days of coverage, Monday to Sunday, taking 24-hour call a few of those days.

Job Description:

• Facility is looking for one locum that can cover 1-2 weeks per month for gastro coverage. Coverage needed starting in February.
• Anticipated procedures/surgeries per week: 40 per week of procedures (combination of elective and urgent/emergent inpatient/ER patients).
• Description of work assignment: Inpatient coverage and elective scoping.
• Breakdown of clinic days/sessions and/or OR days: Variable inpatient and elective procedure time.
• Schedule of days/times needed to work/shift hours: Flexible, but potentially Monday to Thursday for inpatient/elective procedures and Friday to Sunday for 24-hour call coverage.
• Procedures provider will be required to perform: Endoscopy, Colonoscopy.
• Patient load: 10-15 inpatient consults.

Requirements:

• Does the provider have particular fellowship? Gastroenterology.
• Will you accept experience over fellowship? No.
• Board status requirement (BC/BE): Yes.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Is there additional support staff? Nurse Practitioner.
• Is the provider working solo or with other providers? APP Support/NP.
• Are there mid-levels? If yes, is the locums provider responsible for mid-levels? Minimal oversight of inpatient NP.
• Trauma level of work location: 3.
• EMR System: EPIC.
