    Locum Gastroenterologist

    Facility is looking for a locum Gastroenterologist for clinic and scoping coverage during the day with night call during the week and 24-hour call on the weekends.

    Job Description:

    • Provide clinic and scoping coverage
    • Night call during weekdays and 24-hour call on weekends
    • Work onsite in various settings: clinic, scoping, emergency room, inpatient, outpatient trauma level III
    • Required procedures: scoping, EGD, colonoscopy, manometry, flex sigs, and 24-hour PH probe
    • Follow-through with patient after labs or other orders are placed
    • Use of EPIC EMR
    • Support staff includes MA, NP/PA, RN

    Requirements:

    • Board Certified Gastroenterology
    • Active CO license highly preferred; must be willing to apply for the license at acceptance
    • Gastro Fellowship required
    • Active DEA required for credentialing
    • Must note if provider can treat hepatology patients and/or IBD
    • Must acknowledge required job duties
    • Must be available for listed dates
    • Must understand EMR training requirements
    • Clean malpractice and background required

    Additional Information:

    • Approximately 14 shifts per month
    • Average patients per day: 12-16 when scoping, 10-15 in clinic
    • An anesthesiologist is on site
    • Rounding and patient admissions handled by hospitalists
