A healthcare facility in Detroit, MI is seeking a Board-Certified CRNA to join their anesthesia care team on a locum basis. This is a supervised practice model offering a collaborative environment, modern facilities, and a wide range of surgical case exposure.
Job Description
- Coverage begins upon completion of credentialing
- Supervision model with MDA oversight
- Documentation system: Cerner
- Typical surgical cases per day: 7-20 (depending on type)
- Pain management cases: 0-10 per day
- OR team: Surgeon, CRNA, supervising MDA, RN, scrub tech, and occasionally a first assist or resident
- Patient demographics: Pediatric through geriatric (excluding neonates)
Common Case Types & Procedures
- General surgery (adult & pediatric)
- IV sedation for plastic surgery
- Robotic surgery
- ENT
- Orthopedic
- Podiatry
Requirements
- Board Certified CRNA (NBCRNA required)
- Active Michigan medical license (required)
- ACLS & BLS (American Heart Association)
- DEA & CSR (required)
- Clean background and credentialing record
Schedule & Coverage
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- 3-month contract with option to extend
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: days
