OB/GYN Locum Tenens

Join our team as an OB/GYN locum tenens provider in a hospital setting. This position is available due to short staffing and offers a supportive environment with essential onsite facilities.

Job Description

• Practice setting: Hospital/Call
• Total number of beds: 8
• No other OB/GYNs provide coverage during locums coverage dates
• Onsite labs and ultrasound available
• Office equipment: Hospital Labor and Delivery
• Low volume of C-section patients
• Average number of nursery admissions per day: Varies, usually under 10
• Delivery volume: 100 births last year
• Nursery level: II
• Documentation system/EMR: Epic
• Strong midwife program; no midwife taking first call for the weekend listed

Required Procedures/Duties

• Routine delivery vaginal, low forceps
• Decision-making for C-section
• Complicated delivery C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc.
• VBACs
• Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

Requirements

• Board certified - required
• Active KY license - required
• BLS certified - required
• COVID vaccinated - preferred
• Must be able to cover dates listed above - required, no exception
