    Nurse Practitioner Trauma Surgery

    Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide overnight trauma and acute care surgery coverage in a hospital-based setting. This role focuses on high-acuity trauma and emergency general surgery patients with strong physician collaboration and autonomous practice.

    Job Description

    • Overnight coverage: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
    • Trauma and acute care surgery inpatient services
    • Manage trauma and emergency general surgery patients
    • Support trauma surgeons with procedures and ongoing care
    • Work autonomously with physician and multidisciplinary collaboration
    • EMR: Epic
    • Participation in mentorship, leadership development, and continuing education programs
    • System-wide name clearance required

    Schedule & Coverage

    • Full-time overnight shifts
    • Permanent role only (no locums or locum-to-perm)
    • Hospital-based inpatient coverage

    Requirements

    • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN required)
    • NP certification by ANCC or AANPCB required
    • Unrestricted Colorado license required
    • Eligible for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid enrollment required
    • BLS certification (no exemptions) required
    • Minimum 2 years of trauma surgery experience or completion of a surgical fellowship highly preferred
    • Not accepting fresh graduates
    • No visa sponsorship available (no J-1 or H-1B)
    • Clean malpractice and license history preferred
    • No sanctions/exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA required
