    Physician Assistant Trauma Surgery

    Seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide overnight trauma and acute care surgery coverage in a hospital-based setting. This role involves managing high-acuity trauma and emergency general surgery patients with a high level of autonomy and physician collaboration.

    Job Description

    • Overnight shifts providing trauma and acute care surgery coverage
    • Manage trauma admissions, emergency general surgery, and inpatient care
    • Assist trauma surgeons with procedures, resuscitation, and operative support
    • Perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and interpret diagnostics
    • Work autonomously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team
    • Participation in professional development and leadership opportunities

    Requirements

    • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (Master's degree required)
    • NCCPA certification (PA-C) required (no exceptions)
    • Unrestricted Colorado PA license required
    • Eligible for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid enrollment required
    • BLS certification (no exemptions) required
    • Minimum 2 years of trauma surgery experience or completion of a surgical fellowship highly preferred
    • Not accepting fresh graduates
    • No visa sponsorship available (no J-1 or H-1B)
    • Clean malpractice and license history preferred
    • No sanctions/exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA required
