    Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

    A Bloomington-based client is seeking an exceptional Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide compassionate care in an outpatient community health center. An ideal candidate is motivated, collaborative, and works well in an interdisciplinary team.

    Job Description

    • Assess, diagnose, and treat adults experiencing symptoms of behavioral health disorders
    • Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
    • Responsible for providing psychiatric services to clients in a variety of clinical settings during scheduled hours. Scope of services includes outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services
    • Collaborate with counselors, social workers, or other treatment team members to coordinate client care
    • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of medical records, including assessment, progress notes, outcome measures, and billing entries

    Requirements

    • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric nursing
    • Graduation from a state-certified advanced practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health
    • Licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse in the state of CA
    • Must have a valid DEA number
    • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus

    Benefits

    • Pay range: $140k - $160k
    • Full-time position with a schedule of Monday - Friday (8 am to 5 pm)
    • Patients per day: 14-16
    • EMR System: NextGen
    • Work location: Adults
