Tayani Institute is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and knowledgeable Optician to join our growing and thriving Ophthalmology/Optometry practice. Our practice provides a broad array of ophthalmology, optometry, optical, and plastic surgery services. We are a high-volume, fast-paced practice offering competitive pay and benefits.

Job Description

• Perform duties in the optical department and provide good customer experience
• Perform all billing efforts of insurance plans for billable services/products in the vision plans
• Learn NextGen Optical Management software and perform routine tasks such as sales, billing, and inventory
• Manage product inventory and report discrepancies immediately to your manager
• Saturday coverage in the Optical Department as needed
• Assist with marketing plans within the Optical Department

• Excellent knowledge of vision insurance (EYEMED, VSP, MES & Spectera)
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Strong computer skills
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work independently, but also be a team player
• Management or leadership skills a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years dispensing optician experience
• NextGen software preferred
• ABO/NCLE preferred

24-32 Hourly Wage
