MRI and X-ray Technologist
RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI and X-ray Technologist to join our team. As an MRI and X-ray Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient-centered approach, you will provide MRI and X-ray services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. This is a full-time MRI/X-ray Technologist position working 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with a rotating Saturday shift once a month (no call). This position is also available part-time in a 0.8 or 0.9 status (benefit eligible).
Job Description
- Operate assigned MRI and X-ray scanners to produce diagnostic images.
- Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
- Explain and prepare patients for MRI and X-ray procedures, positioning them appropriately.
- Perform routine and advanced MRI and X-ray procedures with minimal supervision while providing patient support throughout the procedure.
- Adjust MRI scan and X-ray parameters as needed.
- Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and colleagues.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations.
- Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits.
- Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- Ensure equipment is in good working order; clean and disinfect equipment after each use.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
- Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
Preferred
- Certification in imaging specialty.
- Bilingual.
