    Float MRI Technologist

    RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Float MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Float MRI Technologist, you will operate an MRI scanner to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes at multiple centers within the market. This position provides leadership and technical support to MRI services, assuring that services are provided within professional standards and with excellent customer service. You will remain self-motivated to increase your level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve. This is a full-time position working in Burnsville, Lakeville, and Eagan; day and evening shifts; includes weekend rotation (no call).

    Job Description

    • Operate an MRI scanner to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes.
    • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury with minimal supervision or repeats.
    • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination.
    • Prepare patients for MR procedures, explaining the procedure, positioning patients appropriately, and providing support throughout the procedure.
    • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed.
    • Maintain positive attitudes and working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates.
    • Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect yourself, patients, and coworkers.
    • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
    • Maintain an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
    • Maintain equipment in good working order; clean and disinfect equipment after each use.
    • Assist with maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and software upgrades.
    • Monitor medical supply inventory.
    • Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
    • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
    • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
    • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
    • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MR and/or radiographic procedures independently.
    • Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance.

    Preferred

    • MR certification.
    • Bilingual.
