    Job Description:

    • Operate assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes.
    • Provide scanning services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.
    • Guide patients through the scanning process by explaining procedures and addressing their concerns.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions.
    • Explain and prepare patients for scanning procedures, positioning them appropriately.
    • Perform routine and advanced scanning procedures with minimal supervision.
    • Adjust scanning parameters correctly, utilizing dose reduction techniques.
    • Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and peers.
    • Follow physicians' orders precisely and adhere to safety regulations.
    • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
    • Promote safety habits in the work area and ensure equipment is clean and functioning.
    • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
    • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
    • Assist with training new associates by providing resources and technical expertise.
