Job Description:
- Perform various supervisory activities for Home Health Aides and Nurses
- Maintain client records and employee competency records
- Ensure compliance with company policy, Joint Commission Regulations, and all federal, state, and local regulating bodies
- Supervise all activities and staff related to nursing and caregiving
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, orienting, and ongoing in-service education of nursing and caregiver staff
- Remain informed and updated on home health regulations and standards
- Review every referral and assign to the appropriate nurse
- Ensure high-risk data is communicated to nursing staff prior to the start of care
- Ensure documentation is accurate and complete within each client's chart
- Review and ensure client satisfaction in regards to RightPulse surveys
- Manage and enforce completion of annual compliance training
- Develop, implement, review, and revise policies and procedures to guide care delivery
- Develop and maintain nursing policies and procedures for nursing staff
- Schedule and supervise all nursing functions while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations
- Coordinate all client services by reviewing plans of care and treatments, clinical and progress notes, and frequency of care
- Communicate with physician's offices, discharge planners, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and families regarding client care and status
- Orient newly hired nursing staff and home health aides
- Assist in training and develop in-service and continuing education programs
- Audit charts regularly to assure proper maintenance of clinical records
- Monitor job performance through clinical performance evaluations and in-home supervisory visits
- Maintain key referral source relationships
- Work with the owner to meet or exceed sales goals via excellent relationships and contracts
- Perform other tasks and assignments as directed by management
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN)
- Registered nurse licensure in the State of Florida
- Two years of work experience in Home Health Care
- Ability to make recommendations to address and resolve issues
- Ability to make presentations to internal and external staff
- Ability to effectively deal with diverse groups and individuals and maintain working relationships
- Ability to organize workload and set priorities
- Proficiency in preparing and proofreading correspondence and forms
- Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, and fax machines
- Knowledge of modern office practices and skill in records administration and maintenance
- Skill in developing office policies and procedures
Working Environment:
This is a full-time position that works primarily out of the local office. Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Weekends as requested by supervisor.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $90,000 to $95,000 per year
- 3 weeks of paid time off
