Interventional Cardiologist

Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) is seeking a full-time interventional cardiologist to join its expanding team. The successful candidate will enjoy a clinical academic appointment and provide interventional services within a university health system, employed medical group model.

Job Description

• Extensive primary care referral network
• Collaboration with Pittsburgh interventional colleagues, providing 24/7 STEMI coverage
• Procedures include diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, TEE's, cardioversions, temporary and permanent pacemakers, intra-aortic balloon pumps, as well as peripheral angiogram and intervention by vascular surgery
• Comprised of 5 full-time cardiologists (1+ interventionalist with 4 non-invasive cardiologists) and 5 APPs serving two suburban areas near Pittsburgh
• Part-time services provided by 3 electrophysiologists (including pacemaker clinic), a heart failure specialist, 4 vascular surgeons, and 1 cardiothoracic surgeon
• HVI's outpatient office is located inside the hospital, as are a full range of diagnostic services including 2 cath labs
