    Family Medicine Physician

    Join this high-profile practice located off-site of the hospital in Plymouth, Indiana. This outpatient Family Medicine position is OB-optional and offers a collaborative environment with two physicians and one nurse practitioner.

    Job Description

    • Primarily responsible for assessing, evaluating, and treating patients in the hospital/medical office setting, under the supervision and collaboration of a physician.
    • Use advanced knowledge and skill to identify abnormal conditions, diagnose health problems, develop and implement treatment plans, evaluate patient outcomes, and collaborate with or refer to a physician for further care management.
    • See patients of a variety of ages.
    • Basic laboratory services are available, and basic procedures may be performed.
    • Adhere to the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
    • Maintain active membership status on the medical staff as required.
    • Actively demonstrate the organization's mission and core values and conduct oneself in a manner consistent with these values.
    • Know and adhere to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety, and medical information.
    • Perform complete, accurate history and physical assessments/examinations as appropriate for patient setting/type of visit.
    • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, accurately communicate results to patients, and complete all documentation adhering to compliance standards for documentation, coding/billing, and collaborative supervision.
    • Report abnormal findings to the collaborative/supervising physician.
    • Prescribe appropriate treatment, pharmacological agents, and/or other non-pharmacological interventions. Complete simple and complex procedures independently and report adverse patient responses to the collaborative/supervising physician.
    • Provide direct patient and family education regarding medical conditions/disease processes, treatment methodologies, outcomes management, wellness, and prognosis.
    • Determine the effectiveness of patient care plans, treatment, and interventions through reassessment and modify as necessary to achieve patient health status goals. Report significant plan changes to the collaborative/supervising physician.
    • Responsible for communication with the physician regarding variations from normal and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborate with the physician and other members of the healthcare team to provide an individualized plan of care. Delegate care within scope of practice.
    • Participate in medical record, patient care, quality assurance, process improvement, compliance audits, evaluations, and follow-up.
    • Must have experience working with pediatrics and geriatrics.
    • Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness in handling schedule coverage and service excellence.
    • Perform other duties consistent with the purpose of the job, effective operation of medical practice, and access/delivery of care to patients as directed.
    • Open to H-1B and J-1 visa candidates.
    • Not accepting locum candidates.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Starting salary range: $240,000-$260,000 + production.
    • Student loan assistance available.

    • 27 days off per year; 7 holidays; 5 days and $3,000 for CME.
