Join our team as a Gastroenterologist in Longmont, Colorado. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide care in an inpatient setting with a focus on adult and adolescent patients.

Job Description

• Coverage required for the following dates: May 24 and ongoing dates starting July 2026
• 24-hour call (7a-7a) with a 30-minute onsite response time
• Setting: Inpatient, Call at a Trauma Level III facility
• FTE: 4.0

Required Procedures / Job Duties

• Endoscopy
• GI bleed management
• Evaluation of GI concerns

EMR

• EPIC

Support Staff

• RN
• Call team for endoscopy

Reason for Coverage

• Limited coverage

EMR Required Training

• Modules (learn lessons): Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training
• Virtual EMR (PPL) Training: Modules must be completed beforehand; virtual training must be finished at least 1 week prior to the first day
• First Day Details: Released only after EMR modules and training are completed

Facility & Patient Details

• Patient population: Adult, Adolescent
• Number of beds: 60
• PPD: 1-2
• 24-hour hospitalist admissions team
• Interventional Radiology: Available 8-4, Monday-Friday
• Permanent GI physicians: 1

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology - Required
• Active CO license or IMLC (LOQ in hand at submission) - Required
• Active DEA - Highly preferred; required for credentialing
• Must be able to offer and work 3 consecutive 24-hour shifts (7a-7a) - Required
• Local / drive-in candidates - Highly Preferred
• Gastroenterology Fellowship - Required
• Clean malpractice and background - Required
