Locums OB Hospitalist

Join our team as a Locums OB Hospitalist in Fort Morgan, Colorado. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide care in a supportive hospital environment.

Job Description

• All shifts are 24-hour call and end at 7:00 AM the following morning.
• Confirmed coverage dates include:
  • February 2, 2026
  • March 10-11, 2026
  • March 13-16, 2026
  • March 23, 2026
• Ongoing coverage begins April 2026 with 10-15 total OB hospitalist shifts per month across all locums.

Schedule & Call Expectations

• Shift Type: 24-hour call
• Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM
• Setting: Hospital call coverage
• Trauma Level: No Trauma / Not Rated

Practice Setting

• Beds: 50
• Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric, Adolescent
• Estimated Deliveries: 15 deliveries per month
• Admissions: Varies (hospital call-based)
• Backup Services:
  • General Surgery: 24/7
  • Urology: Limited (2 days/week)

Clinical Responsibilities

• General OB/GYN
• Labor & delivery coverage
• Inpatient OB call coverage
• Volume varies based on deliveries due

Support & Systems

• Support Staff: RN
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active Colorado Medical License OR IMLC - Required
• LOQ must be in hand at time of submission
• Board Certified OBGYN OR Truly Board Eligible (0-5 years from residency completion) - Required

Certifications & Credentialing

• BLS: Highly Preferred (Must be obtained during credentialing)
• DEA: Highly Preferred (Required for credentialing; Transferred DEA accepted, but must be maintained for full assignment)

Epic EMR Training Requirements

• Credentialing pre-app + full app required to initiate AD/EMR access
• EMR account creation may take up to 5 days
• Epic Modules: Must be completed before virtual training
• Virtual Epic Training (PPL): Must be completed at least 1 week prior to first shift

• Hospital call-only OB role with manageable delivery volume.
• IMLC-friendly with advance planning required for Epic training.
