NP/PA Neuroendovascular Locum Opportunity - Detroit, Michigan
A top-ranked Level 1 Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke designation in Detroit is seeking experienced NPs or PAs for overnight inpatient coverage in a neuroendovascular setting. This is a highly autonomous role supporting post-op care, rounding, and consults - no OR or procedural work required.
Job Description
- August - November 2025
- Shifts: 6 PM - 6 AM
- Weekend coverage: 1 weekend every 4 weeks
- Schedule includes 240 hours per 6-week cycle
- No call responsibilities
- 2-3 shifts/week or more preferred
- Average census: 10 patients/day
- EMR: eCare/Cerner
Role Responsibilities
- Inpatient consults, rounding, and postoperative care
- No procedural or first-assist work (except simple sutures)
- Must be confident managing stroke emergencies, neurosurgical ICU cases, and post-op care
- Work independently with off-site physician support
- Broad patient demographic: newborns to geriatric
Requirements
- Board Certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA) - Required
- Active Michigan license - Required
- Clean background - Required
- BLS, ENLS, and NIHSS - Required
- DEA with Michigan address (verbal confirmation acceptable) - Required
- No new graduates - must have experience in neuro, ICU, or related settings
