    As a Mammography Tech, your demonstrated customer service and communication skills greatly assist you in obtaining images of good diagnostic quality, while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients.

    Job Description

    • Perform and/or assist in diagnostic, screening, ultrasound, and interventional mammography procedures; perform daily and periodic Mammography Quality Assurance (QA) activities under the direct supervision of the mammography QA Technologist; monitor image quality on a continuous basis to ensure that all quality standards are met.
    • Monitor equipment for proper performance and functionality; clean, restock, and prepare examination rooms on a daily basis.
    • Complete all necessary documentation in the radiological information system (RIS) and/or patient charts.

    Requirements

    • Two-year college degree in Radiologic Technology in Applied Science or equivalent.
    • NYS license in Radiologic Technology OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of employment.
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT-R) required within six months of employment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior Radiologic Technologist experience.
    • ARRT-M Advanced Mammography Certification.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work with various software applications.
    • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

    Physical Requirements

    Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

    Pay Range

    $29.25 - $42.00

    The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and is eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
