Mammo Technologist
As a Mammo Tech, you are to demonstrate excellent customer service, communication skills, and obtain quality positioning and imaging quality studies while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients. Warm and comforting patient care skills are mandatory for these sensitive procedures. You will perform screening and diagnostic mammogram examinations and assist radiologists in performing mammographic procedures. This team member's role is to obtain images of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to the patient undergoing these exams.
Job Description
- Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and in patient charts as necessary.
- Performs screening, diagnostic, and/or assists in performing mammographic procedures.
- Monitors image quality on a continuous basis to ensure that all image quality is within alignment with the ACR quality standards (American College of Radiology).
- Monitors equipment for proper performance and functionality.
- Performs daily and periodic Mammography QA activities under the direct supervision of the Mammo QA technologist.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Two-year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Radiologic Technologist experience.
- ARRT-M Advanced Mammography Certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work various software applications.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Licenses / Certifications
- RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED).
- RTC - Radiologic Technologist certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Physical Requirements
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
Pay Range
$29.25 - $42.00
Location
Geneva, NY 14456
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and is eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
