Physician Assistant

Health Care System seeks to add a full-time Physician Assistant. The new Physician Assistant will work directly with a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. This position includes both the OR and the clinic. This doctor has a very successful and growing practice and handles a good volume of total joints as well as some general cases. Responsibilities include: first assist, H&P's, writing scripts, coordinating with PT/OT, consultation, rounding, and discharge summaries. The position is a four-day work week.

Job Description

• Work directly with a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon
• Assist in the OR and clinic settings
• Handle a good volume of total joints and some general cases
• Responsibilities include first assist, H&P's, writing scripts, coordinating with PT/OT, consultation, rounding, and discharge summaries

Requirements

• Successful candidate should be NCCPA-Certified
• Previous orthopedic experience is desired, but the doctor will train a new graduate with an orthopedic rotation
