Clinic Medical Director

Location: South of Waco, Texas

Job Description:

• Provide a full range of primary health care services, including diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic illness.
• Focus on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays.
• Prescribe medication.
• Collaborate with other providers in planning, evaluating, coordinating, and revising programs.
• Provide administrative supervision, planning/assigning work, scheduling, approving leave, and completing performance evaluations.
• Supervise mid-level providers and nurse manager as part of the primary care team.

Requirements:

• Training as a Primary Care physician board certified in family medicine or internal medicine.
• 2+ years of experience as an IM or FP physician.
• Experience in managing a patient panel of 6-8 patients in an 8-hour shift (predominantly geriatric males).
• Possess chronic disease (diabetes/hypertension) and pain management experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Make up to $250k/yr., DOE.
• Mon-Fri 8am/4:30pm - No evenings or weekends.
• Up to 56 hours of sick time.

• Malpractice liabilities of $1,000,000/3,000,000 coverage, without a time limitation on claims filed.
