    Oncology Pharmacy Operations Manager

    Job Description

    • Responsible for the operations of the oncology pharmacy services, including managing and leading personnel.
    • Collaborate across the multidisciplinary team to achieve compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
    • Work closely with pharmacy staff to resolve issues related to pharmacy operations and systems, improve efficiencies and controls, and reduce costs.
    • Supervise, mentor, and provide feedback to oncology pharmacy staff.
    • Participate in hiring, discipline, orientation, and training needs of oncology pharmacy staff.
    • Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws, Department of Health and State Board of Pharmacy regulations, and other regulatory and accreditation standards.
    • Develop and review policies and procedures; participate in the operating and capital budget process for the oncology service line as it relates to pharmacy services.
    • Lead planning, assessment, and improvement of medication use in oncology patients.
    • Create an environment of empowerment, teamwork, and collaboration both in and outside the pharmacy.

    Requirements

    • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a pharmacy degree.
    • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist by the State of Illinois Board of Pharmacy within 6 months of hire.
    • Successful completion of PGY1/2 Health System Pharmacy Administration or equivalent experience of 5 years in hospital and/or infusion pharmacy experience, with 3 years of previous supervisory experience preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and customer-facing skills.
    • Strong customer service orientation and excellent organizational skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Board certification in oncology (BCOP) preferred.

    Pay Range

    $68.59 - $108.03 per hour. Rush salaries are determined by many factors including education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry-specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects Rush's anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.
