    Registered Nurse - Surgery

    Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Surgery department at our Yale Campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This full-time position offers a unique schedule of three 12-hour shifts from Friday through Sunday, with premium weekend pay for 24 hours of differential.

    Job Description

    • Manages human resources to maintain compliance with approved standards and guidelines for nursing care within established budget parameters.
    • Provides clinical expertise in patient placement and facilitates patient movement through assessment of patient needs and coordination of transfers.
    • Communicates appropriately to define and resolve immediate problems, promoting continuity of patient care.
    • Serves as a clinical resource for patient care activities and problem resolution.
    • Evaluates and adjusts staffing requirements for current and following shifts.
    • Monitors adherence to time and attendance policy and provides coaching and counseling to nursing personnel.
    • Demonstrates professional judgment in response to changing patient and unit situations.
    • Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care as necessary to meet patient and unit needs.
    • Assists in the revision and development of unit policies, procedures, and established protocols.
    • Identifies education and training needs of personnel and assists in developing and implementing in-service programs.

    Requirements

    • Has completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved by a state board of nursing, holding or being entitled to hold a diploma or degree.
    • Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License.
    • 1 - 2 years of related experience.
    • Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways.
    • Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and efficiently.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle conflict management effectively.
