Physical Therapist
Join our team as a Physical Therapist in Adult Outpatient Therapy. This position involves working closely with patients to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Job Description
- Develop proper therapeutic treatment plans of care and anticipated outcomes for each patient in accordance with a written and signed Physician's order or prescription, as appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors.
- Modify treatment plans based on patient response and/or ineffectiveness as noted in the medical record.
- Demonstrate effective teaching skills with patients, family members, and caregivers while maintaining safety and care of the patient during treatment sessions.
- Assist in discharge planning of patients along with other members of the health care team.
- Document initial assessments, reassessments, and progress notes for each patient in accordance with established department policy and procedures.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor's, Master's degree, or DPT, graduate of an entry-level master's or doctorate program in Physical Therapy from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
- Requires a current New Jersey State license and registration in Physical Therapy or eligibility.
- Previous experience preferred but not necessary. New graduates acceptable.
- Requires analytic ability, use of independent judgment, and sufficient interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with patients, families, students, peers, and other health care professionals.
- BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
