Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant - First Assist

HRRMC is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) - First Assist to work PRN in our Surgical Services Department. Job Description
- Perform as the First Assist under direct supervision of the surgeon, following the Nurse Practice Act of Colorado and AORN Position Statement.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe operations and exceptional patient outcomes.
- Deliver superior nursing care in all areas of the Surgical Services Department.
- Work seamlessly with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient experiences.
Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant license with surgical assisting experience preferred.
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) is required from an accredited nursing program and two years of perioperative nursing experience.
- Successful completion of an NPFA program that meets the AORN Recommended Education Standards for NPFA programs or two years of experience as a documented First Assist.
- Required annual minimal competence is 250 documented hours.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current PALS certification.
- Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner License in Colorado.
- Unrestricted DEA Registration Certification.
