    Job Description

    • Come join our extraordinary OB/Med/Surg team as a Registered Nurse (RN) utilizing a team-based approach to patient care in a fun and supportive work environment.

    • Must work two shifts, with a minimum of 16 hours scheduled every 6 weeks. One of those shifts must be an evening, overnight, weekend, or holiday shift. Eligible for incentives and other premiums after minimum shift requirement has been met.
    • A minimum of one year of L&D, postpartum, and nursery care experience preferred.
    • Must have BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification.
    • STABLE and PALS preferred but not required upon hire.
    • Fetal monitoring course within the past 2 years preferred.
    • Willing to work on Med/Surg unit when OB patient census is low. Will train to Med/Surg upon hire.

    Responsibilities

    • Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage, and various other nursing interventions.
    • Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
    • Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up along the continuum of care.
    • Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise.

    Requirements

    • Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including but not limited to American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
    • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
