    Job Description

    • Join our compassionate, skilled, and collaborative OB/Med/Surg team, where you'll make a meaningful impact during life's most transformative moments.
    • As a PRN RN, you'll primarily support our Obstetrics unit and flex to Med/Surg when OB census is low, ensuring continuity of care across two areas of our hospital.
    • Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage, and various other nursing interventions.
    • Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
    • Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up along the continuum of care.
    • Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise.

    Requirements

    • Must be trained in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Care.
    • Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring; additional education required by the Acute Care department.
    • Preferred and will be required: STABLE.
    • Med/Surg experience preferred but not required; we will train you.
    • Required to pick up a minimum of 2 shifts (16 hours) every 6 weeks. At least one shift per schedule must be an evening, night, weekend, or holiday.
    • Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including but not limited to American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
    • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
