    Chief of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and Surgical Pathologist

    Location: Stony Brook University, Long Island, New York

    Job Description:

    • Serve as the Chief of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and as an attending surgical pathologist
    • Opportunity for other senior level administrative roles in Surgical Pathology depending on interests and qualifications
    • Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and academic record

    Requirements:

    • MD, DO (or foreign equivalent)
    • American Board of Pathology board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology
    • Eligibility for New York State licensure
    • Strong diagnostic skills and potential to serve as an outstanding educator
    • Evidence of motivation and interests in research or other scholarly endeavors in Pathology
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Fellowship training in bone and soft tissue pathology
    • Equivalent experience in bone and soft tissue pathology in lieu of fellowship training
    • Board certification or experience in other areas of surgical pathology, including but not limited to gynecologic, breast, genitourinary, head and neck, pulmonary, pediatric, and/or perinatal pathology
