Chief of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and Surgical Pathologist
Location: Stony Brook University, Long Island, New York
Job Description:
- Serve as the Chief of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and as an attending surgical pathologist
- Opportunity for other senior level administrative roles in Surgical Pathology depending on interests and qualifications
- Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and academic record
Requirements:
- MD, DO (or foreign equivalent)
- American Board of Pathology board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology
- Eligibility for New York State licensure
- Strong diagnostic skills and potential to serve as an outstanding educator
- Evidence of motivation and interests in research or other scholarly endeavors in Pathology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fellowship training in bone and soft tissue pathology
- Equivalent experience in bone and soft tissue pathology in lieu of fellowship training
- Board certification or experience in other areas of surgical pathology, including but not limited to gynecologic, breast, genitourinary, head and neck, pulmonary, pediatric, and/or perinatal pathology
