    Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

    Sapphire Rehabilitation at Goshen, a premier long-term skilled nursing facility located in Orange County, New York, has immediate openings for enthusiastic and energetic CNAs for all shifts to become part of our dedicated and professional staff. Under supervised professional and skilled guidance, our CNAs give direct nursing care to assigned residents and perform other services necessary for their personal and comfort needs.     Job Description

    • Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
    • Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
    • Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
    • Ambulates and transports residents.
    • Records and totals fluid intake and output.
    • Weighs residents.
    • Documents on flow sheets.
    • Assists with admission, discharge, and postmortem care.
    • Responds to call lights in a timely manner.
    • Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
    • Reports all observations & assessments to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
    • Takes and records vital signs.
    • Makes beds and keeps resident's units clean and in order.
    • Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge.

    Requirements

    • Current NYS CNA Certification Required.
    • Previous long-term care experience is a plus.

    Benefits

    • All new CNA hires in the nursing department will receive a sign-on bonus of $1,800.00 (paid after the conclusion of a 90-day probationary period).
