Physician in Oncology Clinic
Job Description:
- Work within a supportive and caring group of healthcare professionals in a newly remodeled & expanded Oncology Clinic/infusion center.
- Enjoy a work-life balance with a flexible schedule.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base salary $475-500k
- RVU bonus based on annual threshold
- Quality incentives up to $30,000
- Commencement bonus eligible
- $8,000 annual CME, licensing, dues, subscription + paid CME time

Professional Details:
- Approximately 200 clinic visits per month between two providers
- 4 days a week, 8 hours a day at 1st Hospital, office hours 8am-5pm
- 1 day a week, 8-hour day at 2nd Hospital (mileage reimbursed)
- 0.6 FTE Nurse practitioner to support the provider
- Hem/Onc providers support the Infusion Clinic, which handles approximately 475-525 infusions per month
- Full-time, permanent position

Facility Overview:
This is an independent 501(c)3 not-for-profit health system that includes a community hospital and 13 primary and specialty clinics. As Union County’s largest private employer, more than 750 people comprise the team, all dedicated to providing quality health care services to the region.
The area serves a base population of about 25,000 residents, while also providing care for many in the Eastern Oregon and Southeast Washington area. With an employed provider staff of 80, the hospital continues to recruit world-class professionals. Four of the 13 clinics are well-established, certified Primary Care Medical Homes. In 2020, an Urgent Care facility was opened right outside of the county seat of La Grande, where the remainder of the clinics are located.
The successful candidate will be employed by the hospital and will enjoy a highly competitive salary and rich benefits package. Must be Board certified or eligible.
Community Overview:
Located in Northeast Oregon, La Grande is nestled within the mountain ranges that dominate our landscape: Blue Mountains to the west and Eagle Caps to the southeast. These mountains surround the Grande Ronde Valley, the second largest enclosed valley in the world.

The Mount Emily Recreation Area (MERA) is just two miles from La Grande, providing nearly 3,700 acres of year-round access to the Blue Mountains. In winter, MERA is a popular spot for back-country skiing and snow-shoeing. Union County is home to Eastern Oregon University, founded in 1929, and also home to the OHSU School of Nursing on-campus program.
