Telemetry Technician/Monitor Technician

Job Description
- Deliver superior quality in all that you do and treat others as they wish to be treated.
- Assume responsibility for continuously watching and ensuring appropriate and timely responses to alarms.
- Verify correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms, and artifact; maintain EKG monitor alarms and respond to all alarms as needed.
- Continuously observe all monitors assigned and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately.
- Complete EKG interpretations including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, waveform alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
- Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
Requirements
- Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on the education platform within 30 days of start date in position and pass other tests/competencies as required by Select Medical.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training (LPNs are limited to working as telemetry tech only).

- Pay: $15.76 to $19.22 per hour with competitive shift differentials for weekends.
