Senior Process Improvement Engineer
Sentara Health has an exciting new opportunity to join our team as a Senior Process Improvement Engineer! This role is hybrid, requiring the ability to work onsite a couple of days a week or as needed.
Job Description
- Make significant changes in clinical, operational, or transformational processes with a strategic or operational focus.
- Support senior leaders by identifying opportunities for improvement, organizing resources, selecting and implementing the appropriate improvement methodology, and ensuring projects are conducted successfully.
- Manage multiple projects for multiple leaders simultaneously and prioritize to meet tight timelines.
- Responsible for all aspects of the change process, including financial, operational, and human resource perspectives, to facilitate radical changes in technology, processes, and people.
- Help the organization maintain cost discipline/reduce costs, with secondary goals of helping operational leaders solve problems and/or design processes that are efficient and effective and improve costs, quality, safety, or revenue.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, Nursing, or related field required.
- 5 years of Process Improvement/Healthcare management experience required, or 10 years of experience in lieu of a Master's degree.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification or 8 years of Process Improvement experience required.
- Must understand the operational, financial, and human resource implications of large-scale change efforts. Previous successful experience with large-scale change efforts required.
