RN Unit Coordinator

Sentara is currently hiring an RN Unit Coordinator to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on the Surgery Unit 4 East. Join a unit known for its great teamwork! We provide quality care to adult medical/surgical patients who are acutely ill or injured. Our 19-bed unit specializes in post-operative surgical patient care. Our nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5/6. The longevity of our staff proves this is a great place to work!

Job Description

• Demonstrate proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provide clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department.
• Under the direction of the department manager, lead safety and quality initiatives, focus on and simplify workflow, and contribute to the development of staff.
• Increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Requirements

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• 18 months nursing experience
• BSN, MSN, or RN Doctorate from an accredited school
• BLS required within 90 days of hire
