Registered Nurse - Cardiac Procedural/Surgical Unit

Sentara Heart Hospital, located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Procedural/Surgical Unit. This position is for a temporary traveler. Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital experience to qualify. Must have a valid RN license.

Job Description

• Provide care to pre and post cardiac surgery patients, including bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac-based procedures and treatments such as ablations, left atrial appendages, ICDs, and permanent pacemakers.
• Deliver a high level of care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and chest pain.
• Handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level; at times, RNs could be assigned up to 5 patients depending on staffing.

Requirements

• Two or more years of current acute care hospital experience.
• Valid RN license.
