Job Description

• Prepare the Operating Room: Set up and sterilize all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies for cardiovascular surgeries.
• Assist the Surgical Team: Help the surgical team in donning sterile gowns and gloves and maintain sterility throughout the procedure.
• Prepare and Position Patients: Ensure comfort, proper alignment, and safety while positioning patients for surgery.
• Anticipate the Surgeon's Needs: Pass necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment efficiently and accurately during the procedure.
• Maintain Sterile Field: Adhere to aseptic techniques and monitor equipment functionality to ensure the sterile field is maintained.
• Assist with Patient Monitoring: Check vital signs and ensure the patient's oxygen supply is adequate during the procedure.
• Handle Surgical Specimens: Safely handle and dispose of surgical specimens in line with established protocols.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with nurses, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and biomedical equipment technicians to deliver optimal patient care.

Requirements

• BLS Certification (required)
• CST Certification (required)
• 3+ years of Surgical Technologist experience within the last 5 years
