Job Description

• Perform mammograms: Conduct mammographic imaging as per physician orders, ensuring diagnostic quality.
• Patient positioning: Properly position patients for imaging, providing support and reassurance during procedures.
• Maintain equipment: Operate, calibrate, and maintain mammography equipment, reporting malfunctions as necessary.
• Review and evaluate images: Assess image clarity and diagnostic quality, ensuring accuracy for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain records: Accurately document patient records, imaging protocols, and any observed reactions or concerns.
• Promote patient comfort: Educate patients on the procedure to ease anxiety and ensure a positive experience.
• Adhere to regulations: Follow all safety and quality standards, including FDA and MQSA guidelines.
• Collaborate with medical teams: Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• Uphold privacy standards: Ensure the confidentiality of patient information and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Stay current: Engage in ongoing professional development and remain updated on advancements in mammographic technology.

Requirements

• BLS Certification (required)
• ARRT Certification (M) (required)
• 2+ years of Mammography Technician experience in a clinical setting
