Outpatient Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician

Location: Lake Charles, LA

Job Description:

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a state-of-the-art outpatient clinic
• Deliver comprehensive outpatient care to a diverse patient population, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care
• Perform routine physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans based on patient needs
• Manage a variety of medical conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, respiratory diseases, and more
• Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure continuity of care
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary and coordinate care across different providers
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and clinic efficiency
• Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records (EMR) for all patient interactions
• Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations and guidelines

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana (or ability to obtain)
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing patient-centered care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
