    Radiation Therapist

    Job Description:

    • Deliver radiation treatment through operation of the linear accelerator and associated imaging systems.
    • Perform daily patient and room set up in accordance with each treatment plan.
    • Perform accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
    • Ensure appropriate charge entry for provided service.
    • Perform EPID review.
    • Maintain ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook) and department-specific software applications to perform work.
    • Communicate effectively and cooperatively in the workplace.
    • Actively contribute to the achievement of Quality Improvement and Lean Process Improvement activities.
    • Complete all mandatory learning requirements in a timely manner.
    • Maintain current licensure and/or certification as required.
    • Attend and actively participate in all department, team, and/or committee meetings.
    • Comply with all Skagit Regional Health, department, and location-specific policies and procedures.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.

    Education:

    • Graduate of a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) accredited Radiation Therapist program.

    Experience/Training:

    • Previous experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred.

    License/Certifications:

    • Current Washington State Radiologic Technologist registration required within 90 days of hire.
    • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiation Therapy Registered or Registry (RT(T)) eligible. Completion of certification required within three (3) months of date of hire.
    • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS.
