    Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - PRN Days

    Sobriety Centers of New Hampshire is seeking a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse to work under the direction of a qualified professional nurse. This role involves participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within the objectives, standards, and policies of the department. The LPN will communicate and collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary team, including medical staff, administration, clinicians, dietitians, and milieu personnel, while ensuring high client safety standards and a therapeutic environment.

    Job Description

    • PRN - 4 shifts per month required
    • LPN pay - up to $38/hr based on experience + shift differentials
    • Flexible 8 or 12 hour day shifts available for PRN nurses
    • Provides direct and individualized nursing care to an assigned group of clients under the supervision of a registered professional nurse
    • Assists in relevant health and psychiatric teaching for clients and families
    • Shares responsibility for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans
    • Effectively communicates with medical staff, receives verbal/written orders, and minimizes errors
    • Prepares, administers, controls, and accurately records medications in accordance with policy
    • Observes, documents, and communicates any clinical or personnel issues that could alter client care
    • Safely and accurately performs vital signs, electrocardiograms, phlebotomy/labs, and diabetic/glucose monitoring
    • Provides coverage in emergency services as needed

    Requirements

    • Graduation from an approved Licensed Practical/Vocational Nursing Program required
    • One or more years of nursing experience within the clinical area of service provided by the facility preferred
    • Knowledge of and experience with psychotropic medications and medication administration procedures
    • Valid current practical/vocational nursing license from the state or from a nurse compact state, where applicable
    • CPR and de-escalation certification required (training available upon hire)
    • First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements
