    Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

    Job Description:

    • Work within a well-established team of 14 physicians and 8 APPs at Mercy Medical Center.
    • Collaborate with a Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, two clinical performance nurses, and a Program Manager.
    • Value collaboration with nurses and specialists throughout the hospital.
    • Utilize EPIC and our internal informatics platform.

    Qualifications:

    • Nurse Practitioner board certification is required.
    • At least one year of acute care hospitalist experience preferred.

    Flexible Scheduling:

    • Seeking a Nurse Practitioner for both day and swing shifts.
    • Schedule is relatively predictable, typically working 7 on/7 off.
    • Greatest need is for swing shift coverage, working at least 6 evening shifts per month.
    • Generally, work from 7 am-5 pm and 4 pm-2 am, with varying volumes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Although not providing ICU coverage, physicians may assist with medical management.
    • Highly engaged team that responds to codes and rapid alerts.
    • Monthly team meetings and daily morning huddles for handoffs.
