Job Description:

• Join a closely-knit, established team of three physicians and four advanced practice providers at Otsego Hospital.
• Engage significantly in hospital committees and process improvement initiatives.
• Be part of Otsego's transition from a community hospital to a larger regional hospital over three years.
• Opportunities to work with PA students from Central Michigan University.
• Participate in monthly team meetings.
• Collaborate with a robust case management/discharge planning department.

Requirements:

• Board-certified/eligible nurse practitioners.

Scheduling:

• No call responsibilities for the nocturnist nurse practitioner role.
• Staff structure includes one physician and one APP per day shift (7a-7p) and an APP on nights (7p-7a).

Key Responsibilities:

• Care for inpatients at a 46-bed community hospital with a five-bed open ICU.
• Participate in autonomous work during the day (7a-7p) alongside a physician.
• Provide nocturnist APP coverage during the evening.
• Perform ICU procedures during the evening as needed.
• Facilitate patient transfers to our regional medical center for a higher level of care due to limited subspecialty support.
