    Job Description

    • We are seeking a Hospitalist or Nocturnist to join our well-established team of 27 physicians and 4 advanced practitioners.
    • Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds.
    • As a smaller community hospital, we work closely with our hospital partners to make meaningful changes. We work closely with our colleagues in all departments to ensure a smooth transition of care.

    Requirements

    • Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
    • Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in New Mexico.
    • Authorized to work in the United States.
    • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
    • 2025 J1 HHS waiver candidates are welcome to apply.

    Flexible Scheduling

    • This position is for a Hospitalist: 7 on/off, 7 PM-7 AM. You will be expected to work 1-2 night shifts a month.
    • The hospitalist team rotates through a fair share of day, swing, and night shifts.
    • Day Shift: 7:00 am-7:00 pm, 10 physicians
    • Swing Shift: 4:00 pm-4:00 am, 1-2 physicians
    • Night Shift: 7:00 pm-7:00 am, 2 physicians

    Key Responsibilities

    • Hospitalists do respond to codes but are not part of the Rapid Response team.
    • Procedures that are required:
      • Paracentesis (2 per month)
      • Lumbar puncture (usually less than one per month)
      • Thoracenteses, small bore chest tube (2 per month. But we can always consult a Pulmonologist for this).

    Rewards and Benefits

    Compensation

    • The hospitalist shift rate is $1829; swing shift rate is $1757 (10-hour shift); the swing B shift rate is $879 (5-hour shift); Nocturnist shift rate is $2,372.
    • Nocturnist salary is $433K base plus bonuses.
    • Eligible for both RVU and Quality bonus.
