Job Description
- The Physical Therapist provides appropriate assessment and therapeutic intervention to maximize the client's physical functioning.
- Provides quality client care considering age-specific, developmental, and cultural needs through competent practice in accordance with APTA standards of practice and code of ethics and Special Tree Rehabilitation System policies and procedures.
- Provides fabulous everyday care to clients and other customers.
- Provides evaluation and treatment using accepted Physical Therapy procedures, techniques, and modalities.
- Provides client, family, and staff education and training as needed and documents appropriately.
- Documents client evaluations, progress notes, care plans, discharge summaries, and outcomes data in accordance with existing criteria.
- Respects and appropriately considers age, gender, cultural background, and related factors when providing services to all internal and external customers.
- Provides supervision for Physical Therapy Assistants, Therapy Service Technicians, student interns, and volunteers.
- Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading the appropriate literature and attending professional conferences.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Curriculum at an APTA recognized university or college.
- Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Michigan.
- CPR certified.
- Valid Michigan driver's license.
- Must be of good moral character.
