    Assistant Director of Nursing Services

    We are seeking an experienced, full-time Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADNS/ADON) to join our nursing management team.

    Job Description

    • Assisting the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services Department
    • Developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care
    • Planning and directing staff development programs, including orientation, in-services, and on-the-job training
    • Overseeing the Infection Control Program
    • Providing staffing coverage as requested to maintain appropriate staff ratios
    • Sharing "on-call" responsibility with DNS and other nurse managers

    Requirements

    • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    • Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse license from the State of New Hampshire and be in good standing with the NH Board of Nursing
    • Must have at least two years' experience as a supervisor in a healthcare facility, preferably in a long-term care setting
    • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures that pertain to long-term care
    • Must be CPR/BCLS and IV certified
    • Must share "on-call" responsibility with DNS and other nurse managers
