    SCMG Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Cardiology (Electrophysiology)

    Location: Bend, Oregon

    Job Description:

    • Provide Cardiology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
    • Perform duties such as daily rounding, orders, post-op instructions, discharge summaries, clinic consultations, and post-operative office visits.
    • Collaborate with other medical specialties to assess and manage patients.
    • Work schedule includes a minimum of 40 hours per week with at least 36 hours of patient contact time.
    • Responsibilities include hospital rounding, admitting, discharges, and scheduled clinic visits.
    • Weekly schedule includes inpatient service rotation and clinic days.
    • No night coverage required, and no call responsibility outside of work hours.

    Essential Functions and Duties:

    • Examine, diagnose, and provide a broad scope of treatments for cardiac disease processes.
    • Perform patient examinations and record medical history.
    • Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures.
    • Prescribe medications and medical procedures according to state law and practice guidelines.
    • Educate patients and families regarding health, illness prevention, and healing.

    Administrative Expectations:

    • Document all patient care within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
    • Participate in SCMG physicians meetings and assist in policy formation.
    • Maintain current medical knowledge and skills through regular CME activity.
    • Keep all licenses and appropriate certifications current and unrestricted.

    Education:

    • Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant course of study.
    • Maintain certification as appropriate to the incumbent's license.
    • Complete annual CME as required to maintain license and Board certification.

    Licensure/Certification/Registration:

    • Unrestricted licensure in the state of Oregon.
    • Physician Assistant requires NCCPA certification; Nurse Practitioner requires AANC, NCC, or AANP, AMCB certification.
    • Unrestricted Federal DEA number registered in Oregon.
    • Current ACLS certification required.

    Experience:

    • Experience in hospital and outpatient practice environments.
    • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience working in a team environment and ability to collaborate effectively.
