    San Diego's St. Paul's PACE program (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) is an innovative program for individuals 55 years or older, who are living with chronic illness or disabilities and need coordinated medical care to continue living as independently as possible in their home and community. The healthcare teams at St. Paul's PACE provide a hands-on approach coordinating medical, social, and home care services so individuals no longer need to manage their medical care alone.

    Job Description

    • Under the supervision of the Executive Director, provide general medical direction and supervision of the medical aspects of care for St. Paul's PACE Program.
    • Responsible for the delivery of participant care, clinical outcomes, and for the implementation, as well as oversight, of the quality assessment and performance improvement program.
    • Engage and guide the Quality Assurance Manager to participate in data analysis, implement quality improvement initiatives, and follow through with assigned performance improvement processes.
    • Provide direction and supervision to all primary care providers and contracted specialists.
    • Ensure the quality of related primary care, nursing, and allied health services.
    • Responsible for the development and maintenance of medical policies and procedures/standards and protocols.
    • Ensure compliance with State, Federal, and local regulations associated with PACE program requirements, including Clinic Licensure, HIPAA, and Fraud Waste and Abuse.

    Requirements

    • Medical Doctor with emphasis in geriatrics.
    • Board certified in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Geriatric practice desired.
    • Current state license and DEA registration required.
    • Meets requirements for 42 CRF Part 410.20.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Minimum of one year's experience working with a frail or elderly population.
    • Demonstrated skills in administration/management, program development, communications, internal/external relations, problem solving required.
    • Minimum of three years management experience is required.
    • Shall have either training or related experience in the job assigned.
