With locations throughout the state, they offer services in 18 hospitals and more than 350 outpatient locations. Appleton, WI is a city north of Lake Winnebago, in Wisconsin. It is the 6th most populated city in Wisconsin, situated on the Fox River just 30 miles southwest of Green Bay and 100 miles north of Milwaukee.

We are seeking a BE or BC Internal Medicine Physician to join our expanding Perioperative Services Team as our first Medical Director and full-time physician at our regional Orthopedic & Spine center in Appleton, WI.

Job Description

• Full-time 1.0 FTE (0.9 FTE Clinical & 0.1 FTE Medical Director Duties)
• Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• No call, weekend, or holidays
• Unique position to care for surgical patients in the inpatient setting while also cross-training into an outpatient clinic for preoperative risk stratifications and evaluations
• Role will directly influence quality outcomes of surgical patients including postoperative outcomes, same-day surgery cancellations, care coordination, readmission prevention, and system mortality index
• Opportunities for quality improvement work
• Exciting opportunity to partner with nearly all specialty practices starting with surgeons, primary care, therapy, cardiology, pulmonary, etc., all the way through the surgical experience and post-operative phase

• Orthopedic Care: Offering the full spectrum of surgical and non-surgical care, including sports medicine, therapy services, physical medicine and rehabilitation, rheumatology, and pain management. Our care model ensures patients receive the right care on their schedule from the right providers. This easy-access model means doctors, surgeons, and therapists have more opportunity to discuss each patient's individual treatment and recovery together.

• Neuroscience Group: The only independent local medical practice that combines neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic spine surgery, interventional pain management, and physical therapy. Our mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality neurologic care to our neighbors in Northeast Wisconsin. The Neenah clinic is equipped with imaging, MRI, neurodiagnostic and procedure labs, making Neuroscience Group a convenient choice for patients wishing to complete their testing in one location.

Compensation/Benefits

• Base Salary: $270,000 plus eligible to earn up to $13,500 in value-based quality incentives
• Medical Director pay: $131 an hour (Max of 4 hours per week)
• Sign-on Bonus: TBD
• PTO: 35 days inclusive of vacation, CME, and holidays
• CME: $4,500
